Okay, here's the thing: I am an active member of an independent musicians website called iCompositions.com, where all of my music made over the last few years is hosted. When I first joined, I was absolutely terrified of the whole "Post Your Blog!" thing. Seriously, I was petrified. I mean, everyone on there was doing it. Blogs to the left of me, Blogs to the right, One Blog, Two Blog, Red Blog, Blue Blog, blog blog blog blog blog...
Looking back, I think I was a little needlessly neurotic about it (Gee, Hudson, you think??). But I was nervous enough thrusting my musical art out into the critical world for the first time, especially within a community like iComp where there is sooooo much talent. Anyway, I began blogging in intervals of every few months, relying on what I have always relied upon to get me from one Life's Stepping Stone to another: Humor. Oh yeah, it's my skin, as I am sure that anyone who knows me will tell you. It's like, my "thing". And most of the time, I think I'm pretty funny (of course, in real life that may be a whole other Blog topic). And now, 2 years later, here I am again - only this time it's different.
Totally different.
I have perpective, I have confidence, and most importantly, I don't have an emotionally retarded boyfriend/junkie strapped to my back and weighing me down. Amazing what bones life will throw you when you weren't looking, isn't it?
So, no, gentle reader, this is not my first blog. But the best thing about that is, this won't be my last, either.
